Under Twos
Our under Twos Section is equipped to cater for children as young as 0 months to 2 years.
We have fully qualified/experienced nursery officers, nursery assistants and First Aiders.
We provide an environment that is welcoming, secure, bright and stimulating. We encourage independence and the children are allowed freedom of movement and choice of activities. Free flow is encouraged and outside play is ongoing in all weathers. The planning activities are based on Early Year Foundation Stage framework.
The activities we provide include painting, sticking, music and movement, sand and water play, construction, singing, play dough, and other activities to develop the children's fine and gross motor skills.
In partnership with parents and when the individual child is ready, we encourage toilet training from about 18 months. Children are also encouraged to feed themselves, wipe their own faces, help tidy up etc when it is appropriate.
When the child is approaching the age of two, and in preparation for joining the 2 - 3 year class, children are encouraged through our various activities to concentrate for longer periods of time.
